Lambda is our smallest aero sectioned aluminium mast profile. The concept is to minimise windage while using a slightly larger section than 2420 to remove the need for internal sleeving. Drag across the leeward side of the mainsail, in particular when reaching, is an important factor in non-spinnaker boats that are more dependant on the mainsail for downwind performance. The spar also has a custom taper specifically for the Snipe that provides greater stiffness at the hounds but also a flexible tip. The spar is supplied complete with main halyard lock, a low friction jib halyard sheave box, limited swing spreaders, boom bracket and all other fittings.
