Seldén cam cleat swivels in mast and eye mounting versions, combining a swivelling lead with a 27 mm or 38 mm cam cleat for control lines that need full articulation on keelboat masts, coachroof and deck applications.
How to choose
A cam cleat swivel combines an articulating mount with a cam cleat in a single fitting, allowing the cleat to follow the line direction as the trimmer moves or the lead angle changes. This is more effective than a fixed-mount cleat where the line approaches from a variable angle, as a fixed cleat requires the line to be held at the correct angle for reliable entry and release.
Choose the mounting type to match your installation. The mast swivel mounts to the mast and is designed for lines coming from the mast or going to it, such as cunningham, gennaker halyard and gnav. The sheave inside the mast swivel has two optional positions depending on whether the line runs from below or above the cleat, giving flexibility for different lead configurations. The eye swivel mounts to a fixed point on the deck or coachroof via an eye fitting and suits control lines at deck level such as vang and jib sheets. It articulates fully to follow the trimmer from any position.
Choose cleat size by line diameter. The 27 mm variants handle lines up to 7 mm. The 38 mm variants handle lines up to 12 mm. The mast swivel versions use composite cams for a lightweight installation on the spar. The eye swivel versions use aluminium cams for higher grip on sheets and loaded controls.
What's in this collection
The mast swivel with 27 mm composite cam cleat (433-501-01R) handles lines up to 7 mm for mast-mounted control line applications including cunningham, gennaker halyard and gnav.
The mast swivel with 38 mm composite cam cleat (433-501-02R) handles lines up to 12 mm for the same mast-mounted applications on heavier lines.
The eye swivel with 27 mm aluminium cam cleat (433-631-01R) handles lines up to 7 mm for deck and coachroof applications including jib sheets and vang control on keelboats. A pair mounted one on each side of the coachroof is a practical arrangement for vang access from the rail.
The eye swivel with 38 mm aluminium cam cleat (433-632-01R) handles lines up to 12 mm for the same applications on larger boats or heavier lines.
