Seldén hull and deck fittings for dinghies, eye bolts, U-bolts, keel bands, inspection hatches, toe strap fittings and webbing bridges for hull protection, chainplate installations, buoyancy access and crew hiking systems.
How to choose
This collection covers several distinct fitting types for different areas of the boat. Choose by application rather than by size first.
Eye bolts and U-bolts are for through-deck structural installations such as chainplates, block attachment points and rigging take-offs. Eye bolts pass through the deck with a threaded shaft and nut. The M8 range suits most dinghy chainplate and block take-off applications. The M10 118mm eye bolt is the heavier option for higher-load installations. Choose overall length to match your deck thickness plus the fitting gap required. The M6 U-bolt is supplied with nuts and a deck plate for installations requiring a twin-leg attachment.
Keel bands protect the hull along the centreboard slot and keel line, and also secure the centreboard slot gaskets. They are anodised aluminium and can also be used as rubbing strips on gunwales and decks. Choose the length that suits your hull — the short 35mm and 130mm sections suit specific fittings or repairs, while the 1165mm and 1240mm lengths suit full-length keel protection runs. The fairing piece fits fore and aft of the centreboard case to complete the installation.
Inspection hatches provide access to buoyancy compartments for inspection and drainage. Choose diameter to match your existing hatch opening: ø100mm, ø125mm or ø150mm. All are black nylon with a rubber O-ring seal. Replacement O-rings are available separately for the 100mm hatch.
For toe strap fittings, choose between the plastic plate and the stainless steel plate based on load and preference. The plastic plate suits 40-50mm webbing and has a textured underside for grip. The stainless forged plate is the stronger option for 45-50mm webbing with countersunk fastener holes to prevent wear. The webbing bridge is for 20-25mm webbing used on adjustable toe strap ends, looped through the bridge and back to a ladderlock buckle.

The U-bolt (508-381) is M6 x 98mm stainless steel, supplied with nuts and a deck plate.
Keel bands are anodised aluminium and available in 35mm (480-052), 130mm (480-029), 1165mm (480-214) and 1240mm (480-229) lengths for hull protection and centreboard slot gasket attachment. The keel band fairing (480-730) is an anodised aluminium fairing piece for the fore and aft ends of the centreboard case.
Inspection hatches are black nylon with rubber O-ring seals, available in ø100mm (480-284), ø125mm (480-285) and ø150mm (480-286). A replacement O-ring (530-821) is available for the 100mm hatch.
The plastic toe strap plate (480-042) suits 40mm, 45mm and 50mm webbing with a textured underside for grip. The stainless toe strap plate (480-573) is forged and electro-polished for 45mm and 50mm webbing with countersunk fastener holes. The webbing bridge (480-363) suits 20-25mm webbing for adjustable toe strap end connections.
