Seldén service products for dinghy rig maintenance. Duralac corrosion barrier compound for spar fittings, rigging screw oil for high-load threaded components, and locking adhesive for Stalok terminals and screw attachments.
How to choose
These products serve distinct maintenance purposes and are all worth having on hand when fitting, replacing or servicing dinghy rig components. Duralac is used whenever a stainless steel fitting is attached to an aluminium spar. Rigging screw oil is used on the threads of rigging screws and other high-load screw fittings. Locking adhesive is used to secure Stalok terminal assemblies and any other screw connection that must not work loose under vibration or load.
What's in this collection
Duralac jointing compound (312-530) is a corrosion barrier compound used by Seldén on all dinghy spars to reduce corrosion at the interface between stainless steel fittings and aluminium spar surfaces. Experience has shown Duralac outperforms other products for this application and its use is strongly recommended when adding new fittings or replacing existing ones on aluminium spars. This is the current green formulation, which is more environmentally friendly than the original yellow product. Supplied in a 115ml tube.
Rigging screw oil (312-502) is the original Hasselfors/Seldén purpose-made oil for high-load and high-friction applications on rigging screws and threaded components. A 100ml bottle will last for a very long time under normal use.
Locking adhesive for Stalok terminals (312-305) is the correct adhesive for securing Stalok mechanical wire terminals and for any other screw attachment that must be locked in place.
