Seldén anodised aluminium keel bands and chafe guards for dinghy hull protection, centreboard slot gasket attachment and rubbing strip applications, available in short section lengths and full-length runs with a fairing piece for the centreboard case ends.
How to choose
Keel bands protect the hull along the keel line and centreboard slot, and provide a fixing surface for centreboard slot gaskets. They are anodised aluminium and can also be fitted as rubbing strips along gunwales and decks where abrasion protection is needed.
The 1165mm and 1240mm lengths suit full-length keel protection runs on most dinghy hulls. If neither length matches your hull exactly, the band can be cut to length. The 35mm and 130mm sections suit shorter runs, specific fitting points or repairs to an existing installation.
The fairing piece fits at the fore and aft ends of the centreboard case, providing a smooth transition between the keel band and the hull. It is the correct finishing component to complete a full keel band installation rather than leaving a raw end exposed.
What's in this collection
The keel band 1165mm (480-214) is a full-length anodised aluminium section for hull protection and centreboard slot gasket attachment.
The keel band 1240mm (480-229) is the longer full-length option for hulls requiring additional coverage.
The chafe guard 130mm (480-029) is a short anodised aluminium section suited to specific fitting points, repairs or shorter rubbing strip applications.
The chafe guard 35mm (480-052) is the shortest section, suited to small protection areas or finishing details.
The keel band fairing (480-730) is an anodised aluminium fairing piece that fits fore and aft of the centreboard case to complete the keel band installation with a clean finish.
