Seldén spinnaker pole end fittings and centre fittings for dinghy aluminium and carbon spinnaker poles, covering four pole diameters from 25mm to 39mm plus a composite fitting for larger diameter poles, with centre cleats, ramps, eyes and webbing strops for uphaul and downhaul connections.
How to choose
Spinnaker pole fittings divide into two groups: end fittings that connect the pole to the mast eye or spinnaker tack, and centre fittings that provide the uphaul and downhaul attachment point at the middle of the pole.
For pole end fittings, choose the version that matches your pole diameter. All four standard Seldén pole ends use the same nylon body with a cast stainless steel plunger, designed to match the radius of the Seldén mast spinnaker pole eye (534-523) for full articulation. The 25mm end suits all Seldén aluminium tapered spinnaker poles. The 32mm end suits untapered aluminium poles. The 33mm and 39mm ends suit the equivalent carbon pole diameters and are each supplied with a section adapter and fixing rivets. The composite ø48mm fitting (534-865-01) is a different and larger design suited to ø48mm and ø60mm aluminium poles and ø47, ø59 and ø61mm carbon poles. It connects only to Seldén ø30mm pole eyes (534-531-01 or 534-528-01) and its fixing rivets must not be used in carbon fibre poles.
For centre fittings, the choice depends on how the uphaul and downhaul connect to the pole and where the pole is stowed. The centre cleat suits a knotted connection in the uphaul and downhaul lines. The centre ramp suits a loop connection and is used on boats where the pole is stowed on the boom using the Seldén stowage loop (603-020-01). The centre eye is a stainless steel fitting with a wide radiused base that allows fast engagement of the hook during a hoist, fitting all Seldén aluminium and 33mm carbon poles. The centre webbing strop with D ring suits 39mm carbon poles where a separate attachment point is needed.
