How to choose
The fully adjustable spreader system uses moulded thumbscrews to set the angle from 0 to 35 degrees in 1-degree increments on the standard version, or from 10 to 40 degrees on the high-sweep version. A detent pin locks the angle once set. The adjusters are handed port and starboard so that turning forward increases the angle forward, making on-the-water adjustment intuitive. Adjustment threads are self-lubricating.
Choose the spreader length that your class rules specify or that your tuning guide recommends. Lengths available in the standard 35-degree range are 325mm, 350mm, 375mm, 400mm, 425mm, 450mm, 475mm and 480mm. The high-sweep 40-degree range covers 300mm, 325mm, 375mm, 400mm, 450mm and 475mm for classes that require more sweep than the standard system provides.
The spreader bracket must match your mast section. Three brackets are available: one for Zeta/Cumulus/Alto/Epsilon/Gamma sections (522-144-01), one for Lambda/Kappa and S3 sections (522-145-01) and one for Kappa/D+ and Lambda sections (522-146-01). Contact Seldén before fitting any spreader bracket to a carbon mast. Always confirm spreader length and angle with your class association before making changes, as these affect shroud geometry and rig loads.

Each set is supplied complete with two black anodised aluminium spreaders, thumbscrew adjusters, detent pins and all fixings.
High-sweep 40-degree fully adjustable aluminium spreader sets are available in 300mm (503-221-01), 325mm (503-222-01), 375mm (503-224-01), 400mm (503-225-01), 450mm (503-227-01) and 475mm (503-228-01). These are designed for classes that require more sweep than the standard range allows, adjusting from 10 to 40 degrees in 1-degree increments.
Spreader brackets for the fully adjustable system are section-specific. The bracket for Zeta/Cumulus/Alto/Epsilon/Gamma sections (522-144-01) and the bracket for Lambda/Kappa and S3 sections (522-145-01) are supplied with rivets and clevis pins. The bracket for Kappa/D+/Lambda sections (522-146-01) covers the overlap between those sections. Contact Seldén before fitting any bracket to a carbon mast.
Detent pins for locking spreader angle are available in three sizes: ø3 x 22mm (166-383) for fully adjustable spreader systems, ø5 x 24mm (166-384) for vernier shroud adjusters and ø6 x 60mm (166-581) for fast stay adjustment.
