How to choose the right sail feeder
The critical factor is your mast section, not your boat class. Seldén makes composite feeders for aluminium sections and stainless steel feeders for carbon sections. Fitting the wrong material to a mast risks damage to the section wall, so confirm your section designation before ordering.
Your mast section is usually stamped or printed near the mast foot, or listed in your class measurement certificate. Common aluminium designations include Kappa, Zeta, Cumulus, Alto, Epsilon and D Plus. Carbon sections are designated S1, S2, S3 and S4. If you are unsure which section you have, contact your class association or check the mast label before buying.
The Single Sided stainless steel feeder is a distinct product intended for catamaran and small keelboat spars where a conventional double-sided entry is not appropriate. Do not substitute it for a standard dinghy feeder.
All sail feeders in this collection are supplied with the correct rivet for installation.

The Composite Sail Feeder is available in two variants to cover the range of Seldén aluminium dinghy sections. One version fits Kappa, Zeta, Cumulus, Alto and Epsilon sections (SKU 505-528-01); the other is sized for the D Plus section (SKU 505-541-01). Both are manufactured in composite material suited to aluminium spars.
The Stainless Steel Sail Feeder covers Seldén's carbon section range in two variants. One fits S3 and S4 sections (SKU 505-529-01); the other fits S1 and S2 sections (SKU 505-560-01). The stainless steel construction is matched to the demands of carbon mast wall thickness and finish.
The Stainless Steel Sail Feeder, Single Sided (SKU 505-535-01) is engineered for catamaran and small keelboat spars where the sail entry geometry differs from a standard dinghy rig.
Dinghy class applications
Sail feeder selection follows the mast section rather than the class directly, but the following pairings are typical across common Seldén-rigged classes.
Classes rigged on Kappa, Zeta, Cumulus, Alto or Epsilon aluminium sections — including many club dinghies and youth class boats — use the composite feeder (505-528-01). Boats on the D Plus aluminium section use the dedicated D Plus composite variant (505-541-01).
Classes campaigned on Seldén carbon masts fitted with S1 or S2 sections use the stainless steel feeder 505-560-01. Those on S3 or S4 carbon sections use 505-529-01. Carbon rigs are most commonly found at the top of competitive fleets and on performance two-handed or skiff classes where the S-series sections are specified.
