Seldén forged and electro-polished stainless steel pad eyes for attaching blocks, tackles, cascades and halyard systems to deck, with three sizes matched to specific Seldén block series.
How to choose
Each pad eye in this collection is matched to a specific group of Seldén blocks. Fitting an undersized pad eye under a larger block risks overloading the fitting at the deck attachment point. Fitting an oversized pad eye wastes deck space and adds unnecessary weight. Always match the pad eye to the block series it will carry.
The rectangular 40x35mm pad eye suits BBB40 and PBB50 blocks. The ø50mm round pad eye suits PBB50, BBB60 and R60 blocks. The ø60mm round pad eye suits PBB60, PBB70 and RBB60 blocks. Each pad eye has a corresponding stand-up spring available separately in the block accessories range, which holds the block upright when the line is unloaded.
All three pad eyes are forged stainless steel with an electro-polished finish. Surface mounting screws are the fastening method for all three, so no through-deck drilling is required.
