Seldén boom inboard end fittings for dinghy aluminium and carbon boom sections, section-specific across all current Seldén boom profiles including a gnav-specific version for 2628/2633/2632/Olympus sections equipped with an inverted vang system.
How to choose
Inboard end fittings are section-specific. Confirm your boom section before ordering. The section is usually marked on the boom extrusion. Common sections include 2628, 2633, 2632, Olympus, 2520, 2229, B076, B090 and the carbon BC060 and BC086 series.
For 2628, 2633, 2632 and Olympus sections, two composite fittings are available. The standard version routes the clew outhaul via a central sheave to deck, with additional port and starboard sheaves for reefing lines, flattener lines and flyaway pole elastics. The gnav-specific version routes the gnav line to deck via the central sheave instead of the outhaul, and is the correct fitting for boats where the boom is part of a gnav inverted vang system. It is supplied with a stainless steel toggle and 6 rivets rather than the standard fixing set.
All other sections use machined nylon, machined aluminium extrusion or cast aluminium fittings suited to that specific profile. The Flash and Europe class fittings both fit the 2229 section boom but are not interchangeable, as each class uses a different internal configuration.
Dinghy class applications
The Flash class inboard end (509-092-01) and Europe class inboard end (509-094-01) both fit 2229 section booms but are class-specific and not interchangeable.
