Seldén System 15 and System 22 tracks, traveller cars and jib cars for dinghy and small keelboat mainsheet and jib sheet systems, with aluminium and carbon strut options and gnav strut components.
How to choose
This collection covers two track systems: System 15 for dinghies and small keelboats up to approximately 22 feet, and System 22 for keelboats and larger performance dinghies. The systems are not interchangeable. Check which track width and car profile your boat uses before ordering any component.
System 15 uses a 15 mm wide track profile and M4 or M5 fasteners depending on track type. The standard track accepts System 15 cars and suits mainsheet traveller applications. The pinstop track has holes for a spring-loaded plunger on the car, giving positive indexed positions spaced 19 mm apart. This is the more precise option for jib sheet lead adjustment. Choose track length to suit your deck layout.
System 22 uses a 22 mm wide track and M5 fasteners throughout. Standard pinstop tracks have 50 mm spacing between trim positions, suitable for most jib sheet applications. Racing pinstop tracks have 25 mm spacing for finer trim adjustments on competitive boats. Both combine with the same System 22 pinstop cars.
For main traveller cars, the choice depends on how you want to control car position. The simplest System 15 car has a toggle and single attachment point. Adding BBB20 control blocks gives a 2:1 purchase on the control line for easier adjustment under load. The full kit version adds a BBB30 swivelling sheet block on a stand-up spring for a complete mainsheet system in one car. For catamarans, the System 22 main car features a pivoting bracket with plain bearing sheaves and is used on the Dart 16, RS Cat14 and Cat16.
The struts in this collection are boom strut components for System 15 mainsheet systems, available in aluminium and carbon. The gnav strut and end fitting are for boats fitted with a gnav rather than a conventional kicker, where the strut provides the compression element on the inverted vang system.
What's in this collection
System 15 tracks are 15 mm wide and mount with M4 screws (standard track) or M5 screws (pinstop track). Standard track is available in 600 mm (441-001-01), 1000 mm (441-001-02) and 1500 mm (441-001-03) with 50 mm hole spacing. Pinstop track is available in 300 mm (441-002-01) and 1000 mm (441-002-03) with 76 mm hole spacing and 19 mm between trim positions.
System 15 main cars all use black anodised aluminium construction with Torlon ball bearings. Available as: toggle only (441-101-04), toggle with beckets for 1:1 purchase (441-101-03), toggle with BBB20 control blocks for 2:1 purchase (441-101-01), and toggle with BBB20 control blocks plus a BBB30 sheet block on stand-up spring (441-101-02). The tie-on car (441-102-01) suits applications where a tie-on block is preferred over a fixed attachment.
System 15 jib cars use a pinstop plunger for indexed adjustment. Available as starboard (441-103-01), port (441-103-02), without block (441-103-03) and with a BBB30 tie-on block fitted (441-103-04). End caps close off the track ends: the standard track end cap (441-106) bolts with M4, and the pinstop track end cap (441-105) bolts with M5 and includes a dead-end hole for a 2:1 control line purchase.
System 22 tracks are 22 mm wide and mount with M5 screws. Standard pinstop tracks with 50 mm trim spacing are available in 1000 mm (442-002-01), 1200 mm (442-002-02) and 1500 mm (442-002-03). Racing pinstop tracks with 25 mm trim spacing are available in 300 mm (442-004-01), 500 mm (442-004-03) and 1000 mm (442-004-04). The end stop (442-105) is glass fibre reinforced polyamide with a hole for control line termination.
System 22 cars include the main car with pivoting plain bearing sheaves and stainless eyestrap (442-144-01), suited to catamaran mainsheet applications on Dart 16, RS Cat14 and Cat16. The jib car (442-150-01) is a composite pinstop car with a BBB40 tie-on block and a dead-end providing 2:1 jib sheet purchase, suited to keelboats and larger dinghies. The tie-on car (442-143-01) uses Torlon ball bearings and accommodates a low friction ring or tie-on block, and is light enough for Solo and Finn class use.
Struts for System 15 are available in aluminium 500 mm (025-025-22), carbon 500 mm (535-547-06) and as a dinghy mast strut (441-001-10) with a separate strut car (441-101-05). The gnav strut (025-025-26) is a 700 mm black anodised aluminium strut with stainless steel ends for boats using a gnav inverted vang system. The stainless gnav strut end fitting (507-954) is available separately.
Dinghy class applications
The System 22 main car with pivoting sheaves (442-144-01) is specifically referenced for the Dart 16, RS Cat14 and RS Cat16 catamaran mainsheet systems.
The System 22 tie-on car (442-143-01) is referenced for the Solo and Finn classes, where its light weight suits the demands of these single-handed performance classes.
System 15 jib and mainsheet components are suited across a wide range of dinghy classes and small keelboats up to approximately 22 feet where the 15 mm track profile is fitted as standard.
