How to choose
A gnav is an inverted vang system where a compression strut runs from the boom downward to the mast base rather than upward in a conventional kicker arrangement. Removing the kicker frees up cockpit space and reduces the risk of crew injury from a kicker under load. This collection covers the individual parts needed to fit or replace components on a Seldén gnav system.
If you are fitting a gnav from scratch, you will need the mast bracket, the strut, a strut end fitting, the gnav toggle, a boom toggle and a gnav car. The mast bracket is section-specific: the side-mounted cast stainless bracket (508-881-14) fits Zeta, Cumulus, Alto, Epsilon and Gamma section masts. If your mast section is not listed, contact Seldén to confirm compatibility before ordering.
If you are replacing a worn or damaged component, identify the part by its position in the system. The strut end fitting (507-954) and strut (025-025-26) are the compression elements. The gnav toggle (528-087) fits to the top of the strut. The boom toggle (528-095) is the fitting on the boom end of the gnav. The gnav car (511-805-01) is the sliding assembly on the boom track and fits 2628 and 2633 section booms specifically. The clevis pins are available in two sizes for the gnav assembly.

The gnav mast bracket (508-881-14) is a side-mounted cast stainless steel bracket for Zeta, Cumulus, Alto, Epsilon and Gamma section masts. Supplied complete with a drop nose pin and 7 fixing rivets.
The gnav strut (025-025-26) is a 700mm black anodised aluminium strut with stainless steel ends, forming the compression element of the gnav system.
The gnav strut end (507-954) is a cast stainless steel replacement end fitting for the gnav strut.
The gnav stainless steel toggle (528-087) fits to the top of the gnav strut.
The gnav system boom toggle (528-095) is the toggle at the boom end of the gnav system.
The gnav car (511-805-01) is a complete assembly including sheave and pins, sliding in the boom track. Fits 2628 and 2633 section booms.
Clevis pins for the gnav assembly are available in ø5x41mm (165-604, recommended split pin 1.8mm) and ø10x46mm (165-208, recommended split pin 2.3mm).
Dinghy class applications
The gnav mast bracket (508-881-14) fits Zeta, Cumulus, Alto, Epsilon and Gamma section masts. The gnav car fits 2628 and 2633 boom sections, used across a range of performance dinghy classes including the 505, Fireball, Albacore, Osprey and Wayfarer.
