Seldén Spiro spinnaker pole launchers for aluminium dinghy masts, available as single and twin versions in complete kits with pole ends included, or as the mast bracket alone for boats where the pole end is sourced or replaced separately.
How to choose
The Spiro launcher mounts to the mast and holds the spinnaker pole in a ready position when in use, allowing fast deployment and retrieval without the pole dropping into the cockpit. The first choice is between the single and twin versions. The single launcher holds one pole and is suited to single-handed or two-handed dinghies where one spinnaker pole is used. The twin launcher holds two poles and is suited to classes where a twin-pole arrangement is used, such as for a symmetrical spinnaker with a pole on each side.
Then choose between the complete kit and the bracket alone. The complete kit includes the mast-mounted launcher and the pole inboard end fitting, which is the part that slots into the launcher on the mast. If you already have a pole end fitted or need to replace only the bracket, the bracket-only version is the correct choice. The single Spiro pole end is also available separately (534-848-01) for replacement or for use with both dinghy and keelboat single Spiro launchers.
Check pole inner diameter before ordering. The single Spiro pole end suits a pole with a 22 mm inner diameter. The twin Spiro pole ends suit a pole with a 23 mm inner diameter. If your pole diameter does not match, the pole end will not seat correctly in the launcher.
