Snipe Complete Mast, Lambda Section

This mast is our latest development for the Snipe class. Lambda is our smallest aero sectioned aluminium mast profile. The concept is to minimise windage while using a slightly larger section than 2420 to remove the need for internal sleeving. Drag across the leeward side of the mainsail, in particular when reaching, is an important factor in non-spinnaker boats that are more dependant on the mainsail for downwind performance. The spar also has a custom taper specifically for the Snipe that provides greater stiffness at the hounds but also a flexible tip. The spar is supplied complete with main halyard lock, a low friction jib halyard sheave box, limited swing spreaders, boom bracket and all other fittings.
