Snipe Complete Mast, 2420 Section

This Snipe mast uses 2420, our smallest aluminium mast profile. The concept is to minimise windage and drag across the leeward side of the mainsail, in particular when reaching. This is an important factor in non-spinnaker boats that are more dependant on the mainsail for downwind performance. To achieve the strength requirment of the Snipe on a very small section the tube has internal sleeves at deck to above gooseneck, at the spreaders and the hounds. This also provides a stiff lower mast and a flexible tapered tip. The spar is supplied complete with main halayard lock, a low friction jib halyard sheave box, limited swing spreaders, boom bracket and all other fittings.
