Optmist Pro Boom - Stiff

The lightest available ')stiff') boom for sailors over 40Kg thanks to the ultra thin 1.2mm wall thickness 47mm tube. Constructed from 7075 T9 alloy, hard anodised and cold drawn for accuracy. Championship results have proven the extreme stiffness to weight ratio of this boom with both our PRO Flex and PRO Stiff masts. Sailors over 45Kg enjoy the power and responce of the stiff mast and boom combination. However, championship winning lighter sailors have used the stiff boom / flex mast rig to devasting effect. The stiffer boom put more loading in to the flex mast causing it to bend and flatten the sail in stronger and gusty conditins. Supplied fully rigged and ready to race.
